International Junior Youth Tournament

The International Junior Youth Tournament took place in France, where 12 national teams from around the world competed for the victory. The members of the teams had to be 15 years old or younger at the time.

The tournament consisted in a group stage, with four groups of three teams each, followed by a knockout stage, where the winners of each group qualified for the semifinals. Brazil did not participate in this championship.

Japan, Germany, France and Uruguay where the group winners and advanced to the semifinals. Japan won the title after beating France in the semifinals (in the penalty shootout) and Germany in the final.
