Recap

Japan vs China was the fourth game for Japan in the second stage of the Asian Qualifiers for the World Youth Tournament in Captain Tsubasa.

Tsubasa Ozora scored the first goal assisted by Taro Misaki in the 5th minute. Fifteen minutes later Tsubasa assisted Hikaru Matsuyama for the 2-0 in favour of Japan. However, in the 39th minute Fei Xiang finally managed to score with a header for China. Kojiro Hyuga put the 3-1 right before half time assisted by captain Tsubasa.

Xiao Junguang entered the pitch for China at the start of the second half, and scored two goals in a little over a quarter of an hour (55th and 62nd minutes). The second goal came after repelling Hyuga´s Raiju shot, and was the first time Genzo Wakabayashi conceded a goal from outside the penalty box.

Tsubasa copied Xiao´s play to score the 4-3 for Japan after countering his shot in the 65th minute. He did it again after Xiao repelled Hyuga´s shot to score the 5-3 in the 78th minute. Misaki assisted Hyuga for the last goal during stoppage time.
