Recap
Japan vs Mexico was the inaugural match of the World Youth Tournament in Captain Tsubasa. The host team (Japan) faced Mexico in the National Stadium (Tokyo) for the first game of the group 1.
Garcia was sent off in the second half after a terrible play that injured both Tachibana twins (Kazuo and Masao). Mexico’s goalkeeper, Ricardo Espadas, scored the first goal of the match in the 80th minute. Japan managed to reverse the score in overtime, with goals by Shingo Aoi and Kojiro Hyuga (assisted by Tsubasa).
