Recap
This was the second preparation game during Japan’s trainning camp for the Olympic Games. It was played in Mexico.
Shingo Aoi scored the first goal of the match assisted by Kojiro Hyuga and Ken Wakashimazu. Before the end of the first half Tsubasa scored another one for Japan, assisted by Taro Misaki. In order to change the flow of the game, the goalkeeper Ricardo Espadas started the second half as a forward.
However, this move turned out to be a disaster, since Japan scored six more goals in the second half (two more by Tsubasa, another two by Hyuga, and one a piece by Hikaru Matsuyama and Shun Nitta). The creative attacking midfielder Misaki finished the game with an astounding five assists.
