Nankatsu vs Hamana was one of the quarterfinal matches of the Regional Qualifiers of the prefacture of Shizuoka for the Elementary School National Tournament in Captain Tsubasa.
This game is briefly shown in the manga. Genzo Wakabayashi made a save to keep a clean sheet in the tournament, but hurt his injured foot, preventing him from playing the semifinals. It is also known that Tsubasa scored four goals, while forward Teppei Kisugi scored two, and midfielder Taro Misaki another one.
