Nankatsu vs Toho (Final)

Nankatsu vs Toho was the final match of the Middle School National Tournament. This confrontation was an epic battle where both teams gave everything they had.

Tsubasa Ozora was still heavily injured due to previous matches from both his left shoulder and left leg. During the game Tsubasa was further injured and Ken Wakashimazu (Toho’s incredible goalkeeper) had to defend with only his right arm after two encounters with Tsubasa (one from a Drive Shot and one in the air where both got injured). In this match Kojiro Hyuga finally learnt what teamwork meant and put at end to his obsessive rivalry with Tsubasa to focus on winning the tournament for his team.

At the end of regular time, the score was 3-3, with both team captains (Hyuga and Tsubasa) scoring a hat-trick using their respective signature shots (Tiger Shot and Drive Shot) in multiple occasions. In extra time (two halves of ten minutes) each of them scored another goal, so the score was a 4-4 tie at the final whistle. The rules did not contemplate a penalty shoot-out, so both teams were declared champions.
