Recap
Spain vs Japan was the second semifinal game of the Madrid Olympic Games’ football tournament in Captain Tsubasa. It was played in the Bernabeu stadium (Madrid). Genzo Wakabayashi was unavailable for this match after getting injured in the quarterfinals against Germany.
Shun Nitta scored the first goal of the match for Japan in the 5th minute, with a Falcon volley shot. Rail scored shortly afterwards for Spain, but the goal was invalidated due to offside. The spanish team finally tied the match in the 21st minute, thanks to Michael scoring with a volley after a “self Raiju” shot. However, Japan took the lead again four minutes after, when captain Tsubasa scored with a Rolling Overhead Flying Drive shot. In the 37th minute Raphael tied the game again, assisted by Michael. The first half ended 2-2, and no substitutions were made at halftime.
In the 8th minute of the second half Tsubasa scored using Natureza and Santana‘s Full Metal Phantom technique, after consecutive rotating pases from Taro Misaki and Shingo Aoi.
