Recap
Japan vs Nigeria was the second friendly match that our heroes had during the training camp for the olympic qualifiers. Coach Kira surprised everybody playing goalkeeper Ken Wakashimazu as a forward.
In the 20th minute Hanji Urabe commited a fault inside the area that resulted in a penalty kick that was saved by Genzo Wakabayashi. Later on Wakabayashi assisted Wakashimazu for the first goal of the game. However, Nigeria tied the game shortly afterwards thanks to Bobang, who headed a center from J.J. Ochado. In the 45th minute Ochado put Nigeria in the lead assisted by Jacks.
For the second half, Shun Nitta and Mitsuru Sano entered the pitch replacing the futsal combi (Kazami and Furukawa). However, Nitta got injured during his first play and had to be substituted by Kazuki Sorimachi. It was not until loss time that Taro Misaki managed to score, avoiding Japan’s defeat in the last minute.
